The South Hams is an all year round holiday destination with plenty to do for all ages. We have listed some of our favourites!

Beaches - within the local area you can visit many beautiful beaches. The list is too long to put here but some of our favourites are the wide open expanse of Bigbury-on-Sea with the walk across to Burgh Island; kite flying and pebble skimming at Slapton and Torcross; watching the boats and then going for lunch at the pub at Hope Cove; searching for shells at Hallsands.
Walking - there are fantastic views from the coastal paths, for example you can walk around Bolt Tail from Hope Cove or you can walk in either direction from Start Point Lighthouse and maybe be lucky enough to see seals.
Eating Out - there are some great pubs and restaurants to try, many of which feature locally caught fish.
Explore Dartmoor - there are organised walks to join or you can do your own thing
Visit National Trust properties for example Coleton Fishacre or Buckland Abbey
Have family fun at Woodlands Leisure Park or go over to Torquay for a range of family attractions
Sports - golf courses at Bigbury,Thurlestone or Dartmouth, sailing - the nearest public slipway is at Frogmore only 2 miles away and there are sailing schools at Dartmouth,Salcombe and Dittisham , surf schools at Bantham and Bigbury, horse riding
